LIFE AT THE BRIDGE
The Bridge Church has been involved in international missions from its beginnings, and has committed 10% of all tithe income to this area of ministry. We have supported a variety of missions endeavors, with a particlular focus on activities in Thailand. During the past two years, we have been involved in the construction of a new Christian school in Chiangmai called Bawrirak Suksa Chiangmai School. This school received a license this year and began operations in April 2011. We also continue to provide higher education scholarships for tribal children in Christian orphanages in Thailand. We are excited about this ministry as we have seen these wonderful young people give their hearts to the Lord, equip themselves educationally, and then begin entering their own cultures with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! The Bridge Church also supports one of our own families headed for the mission field of Gulu, Uganda. Joe and Susan Rieger, with their children Emily, Madeline, Meredith, Gwen, Henry, and George, will depart on their long-term assignment to Uganda in January 2012, and will be working with the Acholi tribe through Action International Ministries (ACTION). Joe will be involved in pastoral leadership and development, discipling ex-soldiers, and doing Bible teaching/discipleship. Susan will be working with child-moms, teaching nutrition, and working in the ACTION school, clinic, and orphanage. Emily hopes to work in the local deaf school and help in other ACTION programs.
