Melanie was born and raised in Cowlitz County. She and her husband Chris met while serving on staff at Trout Creek Bible Camp summer of 2003, got married in 2005 and have been doing some version of camp/youth ministry ever since. They made The Bridge their home church shortly before getting married and have enjoyed serving the body! She graduated from Washington State University with her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 2004 and worked as a teacher in the Kelso School District for 12 years before getting the privilege of staying home with her two children Nolan and Evelyn. Their family now homeschools and enjoys music, hiking, biking, and playing games together. Melanie loves working with youth and kids, helping them understand the big truths of God's word.
